Colleagues,
According to recent studies, about 15% to 18% of children in the United States have a chronic health condition. The presence of a chronic condition or disability affects all family members. Often, the psychosocial needs of the various family members are overlooked, and these children and families are at greater risk for developing mental health problems.
Today's newsletter focuses on issues related to children and chronic illness.
