Dear Colleagues,
Impairment is the inability to practice with reasonable skill and
safety without jeopardy to patient/client care. It can result from
substance abuse, addiction, stress, depression or other mental or medical illness, unprofessional
conduct, and other causal factors. Today's newsletter focuses on a
variety of issues related to practitioner impairment.
