Dear Colleagues,

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, more than 17 million Americans develop depression each year. Recent research indicates the number may be closer to 20 million. Less than half of the people suffering from depression actually receive treatment. National Depression Screening Day is scheduled for October 5, 2000.
