Dear Colleagues,
America is facing a health care crisis. According to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES III), one in two
U.S. adults are obese or overweight. This trend is not limited to adults. The CDC indicates that among children and teens aged
6-19 years, 16 percent (over 9 million young people) are considered overweight. Today's newsletter provides resources related to the treatment and prevention of obesity.
