Dear Colleagues,
Recently, our nation was again shocked by news of a tragic school shooting. Unfortunately, youth violence is an all too common event in today's society. The recent Surgeon General's report on youth violence states, "Youth violence is a high-visibility, high-priority concern in every sector of U.S. society. No community, whether affluent or poor, urban, suburban, or rural, is immune from its devastating effects." This week's newsletter revisits this important health issue.
