Dear Colleagues,

According to the NIMH, anxiety disorders affect an estimated 13 percent of children and adolescents during any given six-month period of time. The NIMH recently announced the results of a study that found a medication to be more than twice as effective as a placebo in treating anxiety in children and adolescents. Today's newsletter focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders in both children and adults.

Please feel free to forward this information to professional colleagues, who can sign-up for a free subscription to Friday's Progress Notes at http://www.athealth.com/Practitioner/Newsletter/fpn_subscribe.html
